JANUARY 2011: PAINT & FURNITURE ADDITIONS:

I purchased this executives office chair circa 1960 manufactured by Steelcase from my new found mid century friend Kevin. Please see his ebay store here, he has great items at reasonable prices.

Kevin also supplied me with a 1960's Danish Modern Drexel table and a George Nelson style slatted bench back in early December, which I forgot to make metion of in earlier posts. Wow, that blue on the back wall looks really blue, but it isn't. We also finished the painting and addition of new hardware in the great room and we love it.

Herman Miller?
Nope! However I absolutely love this chair! Eames knock off from EuroModerno.com, great quality though.

JANUARY 2011: PROGRESS:

We are all moved in. Still have some furnishings to acquire to fill up blank space, but we are getting settled. We have already began making some changes to take the Southwestern motif out of the home and make it more modern.

New addition
:

We picked up this Danish lounger manufactured August 9, 1960 that is not very comfortable but looks great from Joe over at Atomica Modern in Deep Ellum.

New chandeliers and paint color:

The paint choice looks great in the photos, the exact color we wanted, however in the sunlight the green in it really comes out. Also picked up a couple of George Nelson chandelier knock offs. Love the one in the entrance, at 36" wide, its perfect.

New Faucets:
We loved our old faucet so much we've carried them over to the new house.

Lantern:
Our lantern has found it's home, however, it's starting to lean.
